The Gal Behind The Med School Wife
Hi there! I’m so glad you dropped by! The Med School Wife blog is a place where I can write, create, and share throughout our journey as we prepare and take on the rigors of medical school at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and residency (wherever that takes us) together as a family. This journey was something I had get on board with on my own terms, but that’s another story you can read here.
I am the wife of an amazing man who is one of the most driven, dedicated, and funny people I know. Our life together has been one crazy adventure from the start. Always busy and always together. We work as a team. We study together, work together, play together, cry together, and laugh together. He even helps me with blog posts sometimes and I help him with studying. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
We couldn’t be more excited about this medical adventure we are on together. We are attending the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. We started in July 2018 and will graduate in 2022.
A Few Tidbits About Me
- I am a mama of two. A beautiful little girl that makes me smile and a crazy, fun-loving American Cocker Spaniel.
- Because life likes to throw me curve balls, I can claim being an Aggie, Wolverine, and Cougar. I graduated from Brigham Young University in April 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, emphasizing in public relations and minoring in family life. You can read more about that journey and how I learned to trust God’s plan over mine here.
- If I was to watch a TV show, it would be Madam Secretary.
- Read a book? Anything from Dan Brown.
- Everything small, cute, and furry makes my voice go up an octave.
I am a country dancing fanatic, waterholic (in the swimming sense), peanut M&M junkie, Netflix watcher, outdoor adventurer, professional food taster, and gospel lover. But when it comes down to it, my family is what matters most to me. I am the youngest of five girls and our family keeps on growing – I love it!
